Try to think from the AFOL MOCer perspective and maybe you can share with us the following lists as well (...) (21 years ago, 22-Nov-04, to lugnet.color, FTX)

  Re: Universal Color List...finally

(...) I'd say that's the most likely explanation. AFOLs have many sources of bricks and besides - MANY just aren't that affected by the colour change. (...) I can understand why people are annoyed at the color change. But it bothers me a lot that (...) (21 years ago, 20-Nov-04, to lugnet.color)

Re: Behind the curtains - LEGO Factory AFOL Project Team

(...) Jake has only made one mistake he should regret - responding to you. Jake, don't wrestle with pigs. You just get dirty and the pigs enjoy it. (21 years ago, 20-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego, FTX)

Re: Appreciating what TLG and Lego Direct have done for AFOL's

(...) At the risk of adding being a "me-too", let me add my voice of appreciation. Now is definitely the best time to be an AFOL. And I can't wait to see what 2005 brings. The grey cloud on the horizon - in my part of the world, retailers are (...) (21 years ago, 22-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego, FTX)

Re: Appreciating what TLG and Lego Direct have done for AFOL's

(...) (very deliberately cross posting to lugnet.color) It drives me crazy too when colour ranters (you know who you are) pollute the discourse by hijacking other threads with accusations of dishonesty, imcompetence or disrespect. But on the other (...) (21 years ago, 22-Nov-04, to lugnet.color, FTX)

Well, yes, as long as the two shades are old gray and old dark gray. Basically, while I agree that people (...) (21 years ago, 22-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego, FTX)

(...) Geoffrey, I have several comparison pictures of the various older colors in my Brickshelf folder: (URL) that helps, Clark (21 years ago, 22-Nov-04, to lugnet.color)

  Re: TRU specials

(...) I too got some of these teeth, useful for micro scale, maybe that was the piece Paul was so excited about. (...) Med Blue Tailfins. nice.... (...) When your collection is as small as mine the basic bricks from the tub are also useful, Oranges, (...) (21 years ago, 22-Nov-04, to lugnet.loc.au)

(...) Now it's time for you to build a similar scale Flamingo like the ones in Kennedy Space Center! Aaron (21 years ago, 22-Nov-04, to lugnet.org.us.sealug)

  Re: TRU specials

(...) Yeah, I wondered about that one. Although the trans smoke teeth (got 4 in my last bag :)) Has me stumped as to what set it comes from (also for the dark stone teeth). Not complaining though :) Also got 4 1x6 plates in what appears to be "light (...) (21 years ago, 22-Nov-04, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Darn, I could have used some of those parts.....

(...) It's not just the precision of the fit either. The plastic used in the knockoffs (even the relatively up-market ones like MegaBloks) is too hard and brittle. The bricks stick together OK the first one or two times you use them - but after (...) (21 years ago, 22-Nov-04, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Newer Mod (was: New mod)

(...) I'm already using hot glue which dries to a translucent white color. There's just not that much room inside a 1x2 tile to hide an LED. I'll experiment... Rob (21 years ago, 22-Nov-04, to lugnet.parts.mod, lugnet.space)

  Re: 5359 spoted at Target

(...) These have also appeared at the local WalMart with a 'rollback' tag under them. It appears that WM rolled them back from 19.97 to 14.98-ish. Ray (21 years ago, 22-Nov-04, to lugnet.market.shopping, FTX)

Re: Newer Mod (was: New mod)

(...) Would it be possible to fill the block with some sort of translucent something? That way the lighting would more diffused, and light up more evenly. Even something like good old-fashioned white glue - that dries clear and the light would show (...) (21 years ago, 22-Nov-04, to lugnet.parts.mod, lugnet.space)

Re: Darn, I could have used some of those parts.....

(...) This is even true for the Duplos. Lego holds remarkable tolerances, and in fact has one of the most advanced high-volume, precise, plastic molding facilities in the world. Some of the equipment is custom-designed. So it's no surprise that the (...) (21 years ago, 21-Nov-04, to lugnet.robotics)
