I've got a question about walking robots. When calculating speed and jumping power, do you use the power rating of the robot (torso) or the combined rating of the legs. Thus far, I've been using the torso rating for normal movement and the combined (...) (26 years ago, 15-Aug-00, to lugnet.gaming)

Paolo was kind enough to check into Sourceforge my changes to implement idle powerdown. The default is 15 minutes of idle time (no programs running, no buttons pressed, no LNP activity) before automatically turning itself off. BTW, in my previous (...) Whenever I use the RV supp to make a robot, it seems to go about 30+" / turn. I have to tone this down by about 1/2 to make it reasonable (ground stuff should not go as fast as flyers). For jumping, your idea seems reasonable. Jason (...) jumping (...) (26 years ago, 15-Aug-00, to lugnet.gaming)

Hi Guys, I have several LEGO boxes of just white windows. Each came with only one size each 1x1x1, 1x2x1, 1x3x2, & 1x4x2. I turned off shading and turned on BFC, it seemed to improve speed a little. The settings you mentioned below were already set. Also, Paolo gets credit for the code that resets the idle counter inside IR activity. It will not reset on invalid packets or packets sent to a different RCX unit, so a unit will quietly go to sleep after 15 minutes in the midst of LNP (...) (26 years ago, 15-Aug-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)
