Hi James, Carsten posts at the german 1000steine.de/forum regularly. I don't know, if he posts on lugnet? I will ask him. I just found a picture of the "real" Schienenbus. This model attempts to look a little like the Siemen's Eurotram. The real Eurotram may be seen here: (URL) a lack of enough of the same color...I got a little crazy with the color scheme. Since what you are doing is a seris of scenes, you often get better visual separation if you have streets run off the edge of the "map" and not connect to (...) I want to use RCX or Scout in TRAIN series ASAP, but RCX or Scout is too big and sometimes too complex, I hope TLC can make mini-RCX or microi-Scout for TRAIN series, these two don't need baterry and the power can get from outside: Idea1: Mini-RCX, (...) Well done. Your solutions are elegant. The front window looks great, and it is done very simply. The floating black box is a great solution for creating a diaphragm too. PNLTC uses black costume taffeta picked up at fabric stores -- right now it's a steal as it should be on close-out after Halloween. Hi all, The Greater Florida LEGO Train Club had a display at the LEGO Mindstorms Mall Tour in St. Petersburg, Florida last Saturday (Nov. 4). We (KK and I) had a great time and had allot of positive feedback from the public and the LEGO people. Here (...) Once again the North Georgia LEGO Train Club is presenting a layout at this years Great American Train Show in Duluth,Georgia at the Gwinnett Civic & Cultural Center on November 11th and 12th. It is somewhat "by invitation", in that they are more like a giant flea market than a hobbyist run show, but still, they pay the layouts that they do select attendance money. (...) No. While technically that should pass 6 wide trains, as the track is 8 studs wide, it's not prudent. Many 6 wide trains have things protruding out (my PCC is 8 wide at a point) and if you have any curves anywhere near the bridge approach, (...) (24 years ago, 4-Nov-00, to lugnet.trains)

You know I hear this fire proof stuff a lot from people here on LUGNET but have never been asked to provided fire proof skirts at any shows the NGLTC has done, Greenberg, GATS or even the NMRA shows. I'm designing a bridge that I'd like to later be able to convert to a rail bridge. I'd like to design for two 9V tracks but I don't know how wide people are building trains. Six or Eight? In other words, is it safe to lay two tracks touching (...) (24 years ago, 4-Nov-00, to lugnet.trains)

Hi Zhengrong, The Mindstorms units would work great for this. Thw WAMALUG folks have also experimented with using DCC units in LEGO locomotives. While I may add some DCC to my motors, I'm also only looking for a a couple feature to add ease-of-use (...) (24 years ago, 4-Nov-00, to lugnet.trains)
