HI all,
a quick reminder with more details, PNLTC is exhibiting with Seattle GATS
Nov 18-19, NMRA 27th Annual Nov 24-26, and OMSI (in Portland) Nov 24-Dec 3.
GATS is actually in Puyallup, 20 miles south of Seattle and just east of
Seattle, at the Western Washington Fairgrounds. Wayne Hussey's 22foot
bridge shall span a genuine 96 brick-tall chasm on a new 30x40foot layout.
Hrs are 11-5 both days. The NMRA show is at Pacific Science Center in
Seattle (at the foot of the Space Needle). Hrs 11(?)-5. Our biggest venue
of the regular season.
This year, OMSI replaced the traditional event with a new exhibit called the
Science of Toys. PNLTC is the only train club that was asked to
participate. Hours may vary so please check the Museum's website found at
our Calendar page on our site: www.pnltc.org
PNLTC is also installing a working window train display in the Proctor area,
North Tacoma, as part of their holiday festivities. This runs Nov 16th to
after Christmas. The display shall debut at the American Cancer Society's
Discover Shop, a second hand store. [yes, we do ask for any brick they may
have. - ed.]
Related venues -
My firm, TrainBuilder Productions, is supporting a holiday book drive for
charity with a Christmas and train display in the window of Barnes&Noble,
Federal Way, Washington. A full scene with many seasonal icons, a working
train and village, and a 3 foot tree made of brick. This runs Nov 22 to
after Christmas. Second, TbP is participating in TrainFest Dec 26-31 at the
Washington State History Museum, Tacoma, Washington.
Hope to see you and please enjoy!
