Its not often that I get to respond to thread before its burned out so here is my two cents... and excuse me if it gets too philosophical. Lego railroading is a huge "tent" with room for people of many interests. Some are collectors, some are (...) (23 years ago, 10-Aug-01, to lugnet.trains.org)

A very interesting question, JT. As for my own club, the GMLTC, I know that we won't be including a train yarn in our initial building phase because some perceive cars just sitting on tracks as "boring". Mike, I have a bunch of pictures but at 1.3 meg each I am having difficulty in finding a place for them. Any suggestions? The display was huge (even by general model railroading standards) and no amount of pictures would do it justice. LLCA was a (...) (23 years ago, 9-Aug-01, to lugnet.trains)

Mark, The rims are great! I was very exited when I saw the package in the mail. (...) The boiler is 5 wide and the cab is 7 wide - that averages to 6. Very nice, Bob! I too have built an Atlantic so I feel as if I know what you're going through (albeit a streamlined one which pulled the famous Milwaukee Road's Hiawatha passenger train). Slight Counter Point... Of all the single part juniorized elements the dual slope, 4x6 roof pieces is one I like. Hi, Nice models and good part use for the Caboose and Passenger car EXCEPT for the roof pieces.I hate those 'cheap, single part,juniorized' roof piece. Hi - After discovering Ben Fleskes' module PDF (really well done!), I'd like to know a bit about standards. Most specifically, what module standards do GMLTC and MichLTC use? (...) approximate year the set was released...if it was before 1991 then the train will certainly not be 9V. If the set was releases in 1991 or later then it will be a 9V train.
