Another great looking car, but that green engine would be closer to the
top of my "must have/make" list. I see centerbeam cars rolling by, (my
office window faces the main rail-yard) but I've never been sure what
they are used for. Is cargo strapped to the centerbeam?

Basically, when the intermodal transport via rail started getting popular, the RRs asked for these cars, thinking the uprights would (...) (24 years ago, 10-Aug-01, to lugnet.trains)

| All, I posted some new creations today on Brickshelf. Some of you probably saw them run at Brickfest! Intermodal Car(s) (URL) is a set of 5 articulated cars. Interesting factoid: Even though there are technically 5 cars, there are only 6 trucks and (...) (24 years ago, 20-Jul-01, to lugnet.trains)
