And in doing so, Lucas betrays how much he was influenced by Hollywood, while
all the while claiming to dislike the place. Using Brits for the (generally
evil) overlords and Americans for the (generally good) oppressed underclass is a
tradition that goes back to films like "Spartacus" and "Ben Hur."
