I only use 1280x1024 when I can't convince my system it should be in
1600x1200.

I run in 1920x1440 @ 32bit color(1)(2).  It's only a 19" monitor but the
text is still readable.  Great for when you're running over a dozen apps
concurrently...

(1) 3Dfx Voodoo 3 2000 AGP card w/ 16MB video RAM.

(2) The Windows 98 version of the driver will only let me go up to
1600x1200.  But I happen to also have Windows 2000 beta 3 on my multi-OS
machine and it can take full advantage of the card.

(...) Not a bad card, but what monitor are you using? (...) Yeah, amazing how Win2k does things Win98 won't. I love it on my laptop - rock solid also. (25 years ago, 20-Sep-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.publish)

(...) That's what I'd be running at if I had a *real* monitor, instead of this crummy old Nanao FlexScan. What a waste of 21 diagonal inches. ;) Steve (25 years ago, 21-Sep-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.publish)

(...) I only use 1280x1024 when I can't convince my system it should be in 1600x1200. At home, I'm usually at 1024x768, but I'll switch up to 1280x1024 if I need to check something specific. Steve (25 years ago, 20-Sep-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.publish)
