I seem to remember he ran around like a headless chicken? How many bases did
he hide in? How long was it before he spoke to the nation? Rather than leading
your country in a time of need, he chose to hide under his bed. His own words:
?I was trying to get out of harm's way.?

Those weren't his decisions, but of the secret service.  It is their job to
ensure his safety-- they did what they felt prudent.

What about his duty?

Are you implying that it is his duty to get *in* harm's way?  That he can't do
his duty in safety?  I would submit that it is a large part of his duty to
*not* get killed-- an event that would have serious national implications.

All hell broke loose in America on 9-11-- your flippant comments about it are,
frankly, offensive.

<snip>

My point is that he is "gutless"!

My original assertion about "gutless Europeans" (thank God for your Tony Blair
and his clarity of thought) was that they didn't have the stomach to defend
Freedom.  Bush obviously passes that gut check.

I think the Left simply cannot deal with their painfully obvious diplomatic
failure and the failure of the process in general.  Sure, they could rally the
masses to march for peace (who wants war?), but when it came down to actually
dealing with solutions, they were a little short on answers.  "Give peace a
chance" is quite an impotent response to brutal dictators.
