Spoken like a true Canadian.

I find it interesting that even with all the disarming of our military power
over the past 20 years, that there are folks calling for even more dispersal
of our meager military might. Want to prevent the US from 'holding the world
on the brink of a nuclear war'? Start by disarming countries that insist on
having a standing army of a quarter million people. Continue by eliminating
those that pursecute others on the basis of race, sex, age, or religion.
Finalize the solution by eliminating the outdated ideals of 1945 by
eradicating the UN and setting up a REAL world political power.
btw, for the moment GWB hasn't committed any crimes against humanity.
Against Texas, yes, but that's another story.
The UN is broken, but NOT because of the US. It's broken because it hasn't
grown with the times. We're still living with the ideals set up when the UN
was created. They might not have noticed, but the world has changed since
1945. The real mistake was setting up the Security Council with a permanant
membership rather than one based on world interest. Where's the largest
populations of the world represented? The largest geographical areas? They
aren't there...instead we get France. What a freaking joke.

After that, we'll see.)
