The reason no one (i.e. current political leaders everywhere) is doing anything
is really quite simple. To do so would require them to admit that what they
have been doing (or not doing) up till now was wrong. I do not know for
certain about the rest of the world but I doubt any Republican or Democrat (the
two USA political parties for anyone who does not know)would admit to being
wrong about anything. If you want an example look no further than the
California energy crisis a short while ago. Anyone with an ounce of knowledge
about Economics should understand what happened there. Price caps coupled with
increased demand and Environmentalist prohibition on produceing new power
plants are a sure way to cause an energy crisis. The problem could have been
fixed rather quickly, IF the politicians were willing to admit they were wrong.
Now if politicians are unwilling to admit they were wrong about something so
silly, (as far as I know, no one died as a result they were just inconvienced)
how could we expect them to admit they are wrong about something so serious.
Think about it, to admit they should do what they could have done and saved
lives on both sides of the Mid-East conflict is political suicide at best.
