Likewise here. Especially on teenager "salary" (very undependable) I can
barely afford anything for full price. Lately I've even started selling
parts to defray costs. I try to buy 50% if I can; and, if I were given the
option, I'd buy only pieces I wanted instead of sets for just one or two
pieces. Like Richard said, lego is awesome but I don't need to spend my life
savings on it. I find brickbay a great asset, but I would much rather not
needing it in the first place - I'd save tens if not hundreds of dollars on
cheaper pieces, straight from the horse's mouth.
And TLC would make the profit instead of random AFOLs. Yes, of course they
should listen to us. We might be "cheapstakes" but we spend a *lot* more
money total than kids and their parents.
