(...) heheh - don't forget to inventory it :P (24 years ago, 30-Nov-00, to lugnet.general)

  It's here!

My statue of liberty is here!!!! huzzah! it's huge and arrived in a very odd package... much like the mosaic box, only like 8 times the size, inside are 4 plain white boxes numbered 1-4.. very exciting!!!! (24 years ago, 30-Nov-00, to lugnet.general) !

  Re: It's here!

(...) Here's a few pictures, not very exicting... i've only opened the first of the 4 boxes, but so far... no instructions? hmmm... (URL) (24 years ago, 30-Nov-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: It's here!

(...) Yea, I got mine the other day (it might have actually arrived the same day a letter arrived telling me it would be delayed...). People breaking this down for parts will love it. All the parts which come in large quantities come one type of (...) (24 years ago, 30-Nov-00, to lugnet.general)

(...) Oh, I also verified for certainty that the green in 7311 is the same green (I don't know if anyone was in doubt). (24 years ago, 30-Nov-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: It's here!

(...) Ok, what are we going to call the color? Green... Muted Green? Green-Gray? Washed-Green? Verdis-Green? Only people with the parts in hand should actually get to vote. -Jon (24 years ago, 30-Nov-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: It's here!

(...) The pictures do the color no justice, imho :) I love it :) r2 bodies, cones, slopes, brick brick brick! you're right frank, this box was packed so tightly! I couldn't get the all back in right :) UPS said the box was 17lbs! it's huge, it's (...) (24 years ago, 30-Nov-00, to lugnet.general)

My vote's for Verdigris, even though this color's used in non-copper sets :) It's kind of mossy looking, not swampy, but mossy.. I love it :) (...) (24 years ago, 30-Nov-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: It's here!

(...) I think there's a very simple (and good) reason for this- unlike "typical" LEGO boxes, this isn't a marketing tool. You aren't going to see the box on a store shelf, where it has to compete with other items to grab your attention. So why go to (...) (24 years ago, 30-Nov-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: It's here!

  Re: It's here!

I, for one, can't go along with that at all. We should attempt to be consistant with whatever TLG ends up on calling it for the general public. Not that we may know that yet, but we certainly can influence it. Case in point - Note the Beige group (...) (24 years ago, 30-Nov-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: It's here!

(...) I agree with that. But.... I wonder what TLG is calling it? (aside from 'new' green) If we decide on a name & then they call it something else... (I know I said I would let others decide, but suddenly I have nothing else to do at work). (24 years ago, 30-Nov-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: It's here!

(...) Didn't work that way for Tan... (and I'm still sticking with Teal for the torquoise green) As long as we're at it - I've been puzzling over the current Belville Blue - which looks like Blue-Purple. There seems to be 3 apporaches to color (...) (24 years ago, 30-Nov-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: It's here!

(...) It will actually be a relatively easy inventory job (just a LOT of counting...). I wonder how many free pieces we get (I won't be surprised to have some extra 2x4s etc. There are several bags of some parts, they might be a round quantity). (24 years ago, 30-Nov-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: It's here!

(...) 47 would be an unfortunate choice -- color code 47 in LDraw is Clear. :) Has anyone compiled a list of TLC color numbers? I know they use the color number as part of the part ID, but I've never caught the actual values. Steve (24 years ago, 30-Nov-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: It's here!

I can't remember what TLC calls gray-green but I remember I didn't like it. It was sorta Martha Stewart-ish. not descriptive.
