Hmm, I wouldn't think of it as a sand color, but that does make sense
with the appearance that the green may really have been developed for
the Life on Mars sets, along with then presumably Sand Red and Sand Blue
(I wonder if we will see Sand Yellow or Sand Orange - I think we may
also have Sand Purple - those arch do-thingy's look like they could be a
greyish purple).
I wonder what it would take to get TLC to publish a complete color
chart? It would be a little easier than us trying to reverse engineer
it.

| (...) One more data point, FWIW: according to LEGO Direct, the official internal name for the new green is: Sand Green (in English, anyway; my understanding is that it's different in Danish). I don't know if that's what LEGO will call it when they (...) (24 years ago, 2-Dec-00, to lugnet.general)
