Good analysis. You're prolly right. 375 would have too many compromised in
it and doesn't have the curb appeal. We'll see.

But as I said on our list, I almost don't care which one wins. I'll be
getting multiple copies of the winner in any case. Choosing one of these is
a nice problem to have.

I wonder how much they will charge, should the 375 win.  All those solid
bricks, plus 14 minifigs, it could get a little pricey.  Maybe double the
price of the New Blacksmith's Shop.

The compromises you spoke of, presumably, would be one or more of the following:

Printed bricks instead of stickers (maybe not such a bad thing?);

Actually haven't other Legends sets used stickers in some places instead of
printing? I forget.

4558 - stickers on 1x5x4 cargo doors. I think stickers would increase
the attractiveness of this set. With stickers the set is primarily basic
bricks, and plain minifigs (which are easily useable in town).

Modern red 1x1 bricks with a perp. stud, unlike the hollow back original red
window pieces;

Probably... in fact almost certainly. But if they DID bring that 1x1 window
back... look out!

The 1x1 w/side stud is pretty likely, but I agree, if the 1x1 window
returned, watch out...

Hollow stud heads on minifigs;

Almost certainly.

And not a serious issue.

New-type light grey swords like the ones on the Gryffndor statues from
Hogwart's castle;

Almost certainly.

No real issue.

And finally, on the cavalry guys, presumably new style visors and helmets.
Possibly Euro-armor, but not certain.  It would be kind of cool to get a the
pointed castle visor in two new colors--red and white.

I doubt they'd do any new molds, and those helmet/visor/feather molds are
presumably long gone, so whatever helm and visor was used would have to be
the best fit available from what's currently available.

The description mentions the visors would not be original, some bummer,
but the new visors in all the colors would be neat, along with feather
wheels. The old armor is still available (most recently used in the
Women's Soccer Team set), so the original armor with stickers would
assuredly be used.

I would love this set to be the one re-introduced. Failing that, my
second choice would be 6390. My least favorite choice (though one I
would still be quite happy with) would be the BSB (why? I REALLY don't
need more of these, and would have to buy one to continue my quest for
Pirate completeness). I would definitely have preferred a different
space choice, but would get a few Battraxes (though I really have a ton
of trans yellow canopies, I even have several of the canopy extender).

So in the end, I would say that the sets are presented on the page in
the order I would rank them!

Hmm, just reading the notes on 6390... They would replace the cypress
tree!!! Why??? They have the mold! It also sounds like they would use
the new 1x4 brick with slot for the sliding crane instead of the
original method of bricks, plates, and tiles, why? Would the pigtail
hair actually return, if so, this would be cool. Hmm, another set with
black cowboy hats (sadly missing from Wild West...)...
