Small point of contention here (and I am reminded of the recent assertion
that the new cypress trees were somehow defective or made of cheaper plastic
-- which likewise proved false), but the old style "classic" helmet was of
two distinct designs; one of which may have been weaker in the chinstrap and
subject to breakage, whereas the other one was not. Fair is fair, let's be
sure of what we are talking about. I have never had helmets of either type
simply blow apart at the chinstrap -- so unless one steps on the helmet or
otherwise helps it to destruction, I remain skeptical that the helmet was of
a flawed design and somehow "more" subject to breakage than the average element.
Anyway, if they used the sturdier chinstrap helmet, there is no reason to
not make the yellow castle exactly as it was designed before -- if they
could get new molds of the helmet and visor, that is...

| I think it’s a guarantee that the Castle ‘helmets’ will be of the current design. (URL) Hop-Frog’s logical statement about the condition of the classic style reinforced-chin strap. (URL) which I agree, I think TLG just changed the helmets to the (...) (23 years ago, 12-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle)
