    Legend voting —Bruce Hietbrink
Hey all, Did you see the announcement in lego.announce? You can vote on the next legend at: (URL) castle sets are proposed, including the big one. Yup, good old Yellow Castle! Actually all the sets are good, but I sooooo want a Yellow Castle! Bruce (22 years ago, 12-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle)

        Re: Legend voting —Richard Noeckel
(...) I think out of all the choices we have the greatest chance of winning. (And not just because we have the greatest legend (6075) ever, but two out of the five are Castle. These are amazing odds no matter what the outcome.) Is it just me, or is (...) (22 years ago, 12-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle)

         Re: Legend voting —Larry Pieniazek
(...) Prolly not, actually. Your theme is going to divide votes among two candidates while the townies, pirates and spacers all have one clear candidate to vote for. In fact, putting two up may have been an evil plot by Jake and co. to make sure a (...) (22 years ago, 12-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle)

         Re: Legend voting —Peter Guenther
(...) I wouldn't count on this, Larry. 1. The price point of the 6074 makes it extremely appealing, even to non-castleheads. Lots of people can use grey brick--especially Space, and a number of spacies don't think the Battrax is the best choice. (...) (22 years ago, 12-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle)

         Re: Legend voting —Larry Pieniazek
(...) Good analysis. You're prolly right. 375 would have too many compromised in it and doesn't have the curb appeal. We'll see. But as I said on our list, I almost don't care which one wins. I'll be getting multiple copies of the winner in any (...) (22 years ago, 12-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle)

          Re: Legend voting —Aaron Dalan
(...) I wonder how much they will charge, should the 375 win. All those solid bricks, plus 14 minifigs, it could get a little pricey. Maybe double the price of the New Blacksmith's Shop. The compromises you spoke of, presumably, would be one or more (...) (22 years ago, 12-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle)

          Re: Legend voting —Peter Guenther
(...) In the survey itself, they listed the prices. On the page with descriptions before you go into the survey, they don't, and of course you can only vote once. Does anyone have the prices? Peter (22 years ago, 12-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle)

          Re: Legend voting —Matthew Gerber
(...) Did you vote? Did you read the descriptions as you voted? The estimated prices for each set (in USD -AND- Euro no less) was given. I didn't think to record the prices for posterity... I remember the BSB was going to be $100 US... and I think (...) (22 years ago, 12-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle)

Prices of the various legends —Larry Pieniazek
(...) Here is the complete text of the descriptions, posted without permission, for the purposes of furthering discussion. - start - Below are some pictures of LEGO sets.            Re: Prices of the various legends —Aaron Dalan
(...) (snippage) (...) Thank you. No I didn't vote, I am having some problems logging on to the Lego Website properly. Plus I need to mull it over some more. But I am pretty sure I am not going to vote for the Battrax:) Aaron D. (22 years ago, 12-Apr-02, to lugnet.lego.direct)

          Re: Legend voting —Larry Pieniazek
(...) Actually haven't other Legends sets used stickers in some places instead of printing? I forget. (...) Probably... in fact almost certainly. But if they DID bring that 1x1 window back... look out! (...) Almost certainly. (...) Almost certainly. (...) (22 years ago, 12-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle)

          Re: Legend voting —Tony Hafner
(...) Huh? Are there any printed bricks in this set? The flag uses a sticker (at least mine does), as do the torso armor parts and the shields (all of mine do). There's some front tower decoration as well, right? I think that's a sticker too. (...) (...) (22 years ago, 12-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle)

           Re: Legend voting —Larry Pieniazek
(...) I think Aaron meant that they'd replace those stickers (from the original set) with printed bricks, not vice versa. However I would expect that not to be the case, that rather they would issue stickers. I might have guessed wrong about what (...) (22 years ago, 12-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle)

           Re: Legend voting —Aaron Dalan
(...) My initial thought was that the rereleased set would NOT have a sticker sheet, since Lego seems to have moved away from that sort of thing. After reading several posts relating to the sticker subject, I now agree that if 375 were rereleased, (...) (22 years ago, 12-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle)

           Re: Legend voting —Bruce Hietbrink
(...) I would assume it is much cheaper to print a sticker sheet than to paint bricks, so that's probably what they'd go with. Personally I dislike stickers and never put them on. If you play (rather than display) they can get sort of ragged. Of (...) (22 years ago, 12-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle)

          Re: Legend voting —Frank Filz
(...) 4558 - stickers on 1x5x4 cargo doors. I think stickers would increase the attractiveness of this set. With stickers the set is primarily basic bricks, and plain minifigs (which are easily useable in town). (...) The 1x1 w/side stud is pretty (...) (22 years ago, 12-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle)

         Re: Legend voting —Eric Kingsley
(...) Just another view here... I think both Peter and Larry make good points. (...) My view on grey is "who cares". We have a good selection of Grey brick available in bulk as well as the "castle expander pack" for the arches. (...) But I don't (...) (22 years ago, 12-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle)

        Re: Legend voting —Tamyra Teed
The one thing I don't kind of like.... they are going to be splitting the Castle vote between 2 sets, which means neither of which will win... Granted, we did already get the GI and the Blacksmith MOC.... so we in all reality have been treated (...) (22 years ago, 12-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Legend voting —John P. Henderson
(...) Ah, but then there are the wild cards (like me) who actually do not have a true and permanent preference for just one theme... I love my Town sets, and in fact when I set up my Town, it is one of the Themes that is only 50% MOC, meaning I like (...) (22 years ago, 12-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle)

        Re: Legend voting —Kevin Hall

        Legend theory —Ben Ellermann
Ok - here is my theory (and only a theory): Lego will produce all of these sets and voters are only choosing the order of releasing them. The company went to the trouble of making this survey with prices and thinking about which sets could be made (...) (22 years ago, 13-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle)

         Re: Legend theory —Matt Hein
(...) It's a bit of a shame though that the community will have to wait for a prolonged period of time to get their hands on each Legend. And, being the space/castle fan I am, I know the Battrax has a slim chance of winning, due to its size (the (...) (22 years ago, 13-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle)

          Re: Legend theory —Arthur Aringdale
Castle is all well and good, but we already have the Inn and the Blacksmith Shop. Besides, I just got into castle a coutple of years ago, but have been a space, especially blacktron, fan, ever since I started playing. I am voting for the Battrax. (...)          Re: Legend theory —Erik Gustafson
(...) I have came up with my own theory (probably more a wish). When I checked up the sets at Lego.com and I looked at the prices. 6941 Battrax 25$ 6074 Black Flacons Fortress 35$ 6390 Main Street 60$ 375 Yellow Castle 70$ 6285 Black Seas Barracuda (...)          Re: Legend theory —Matt Hein
(...) Seventy dollars for a Yellow Castle?!!! What? This is a theory, right?! There's no way I would throw down $70 for a yellow castle set. I mean, it's about the same size as a BFF, and double the price. I'm voting for the Battrax, and I'm not (...) (22 years ago, 14-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle)

         Re: Legend theory —Richard Marchetti
(...) One factor that should determine price is the degree to which the set cannot be reproduced faithfully (as with the yellow castle where the helmets and visors will almost certainly be very different from the original release, as will the 1x1x1 (...)           Re: Legend theory —Frank Filz

          Re: Legend theory —Bruce Schlickbernd
(...) Heck, I know I'm not complaining! :-) I'm glad Lego asked for our input, and whereas two of the sets up for vote I have no personal interest in, I won't complain in the slightest if they are the first to go into re-release. I figure that if (...) (22 years ago, 15-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle)

          Re: Legend theory —Richard Marchetti
(...) Well, speaking only for myself, I am just weighing in on which sets might be the best value. I would absolutely buy a 100% reproduction of the yellow castle -- but in case you missed it, the yellow castle Legend set as presented to us is one (...)           Re: Legend theory —Matt Hein
(...) Whoa, here! Don't jump to conclusions so fast! I'm simply stating that the projected price for the set is a bit high for my tastes, even though it's mostly comprised of basic bricks. I didn't mean to critisize the desicion arising from this, (...) (22 years ago, 16-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle)

         Re: Legend theory —Thomas Garrison
(...) As Matt observed later (I snipped it) 375 originally had 779 pieces. That is the most pieces of any Castle set. Ever. Also 14 minifigs, which is the most 'figs in any Castle set.[1] I don't own one, but looking at the instructions it appears (...)         Re: Legend voting —Bruce Schlickbernd
(...) The Yellow Castle has one big problem: it's yellow. I rather suspect that you'll see the 6074 as the more popular choice of the two Castle sets. My own suspicion would be that the high price of the Yellow Castle and the BSB will count heavily (...) (22 years ago, 14-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle)

         Re: Legend voting —John Radtke
(...) I quite agree. I have little use for bulk yellow bricks. It's other big problem is the stickers. They never look as good to begin with and they last a fraction of the time. I may be interested in the figs if they print them instead but it's (...) (22 years ago, 14-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle)

Hi, Is it a betryed voting, as a real true castle fan, for the Pirate ship that I really think is a true legend, and wanting this ship for ages? Although I really hope that 375 & 6074 both also will be produced. We live to build Yaron Dori (22 years ago, 14-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle)
