The 'manual' method I follow to create pictures of my MLCad models are: 1. After saving the completed model, quit MLCad. 2. Restart MLCad. The completed model now shows up in the Models list. 3. You can always hit the print screen key on your keyboard, then open a graffics program(like MS Paint), paste in the screenshot, crop out the extra stuff, and then save the file as a .jpg. I just created a model of mine in mlcad. And i want to take pics of it in the program, such as save pictures as in the file menu. The only view it's letting me save as is the 3D view. Hi Ronan, I had meant to reply to Jake's message with a few tips for you to help you along with beginning to use MLCAD, but I forgot until now. Yes, I have experienced this problem before. The easiest way that I have found to adjust the size of the MLCad window when it gets like this is to make sure that the window is NOT maximized, then click and drag the window (using the top title bar) (...) Ryan, that is what it should do ... I've verified that myself now, and it works as it should, if you haven't saved your project before scanning for models or parts, MLCad asks if you wan't to save your work. Jake McKee Another way to get that Plate/Tile with 1 stud in the Tile category is to have a search string for the Tile group like this: <Tile | ( <Plate & Stud> ) which will find all parts starting with Tile and also any part starting with Plate and (...) Naa, that's not a bug, the scanning function destroy and rebuild all internal file caches. This also resets the internal project buffer - that's wy you model is lost and you get the initial comment lines. Just what's important in this case is that (...) Michael, While I was working on building a model, I saved it and selected File>Scan Models. Then all the parts in the open model disappeared, but not the first four comments, nor the parts listings on the left of the screen. I would assume this is a (...) One of the grouping features I'd thought of for BrickDraw3D is to group by stud count. (I haven't made up any palette trees yet, it's just one big palette so far.) I'm sorry but there is a bad bug in MLCad Version 2.00 and 2.00 R2! Thanks to Ryan Farrington for reporting it! Drat. I can't believe that I was caught by this Windows "feature". You are quite right Kyle, I had windows set to hide hidden and system files. DLL's are considered system files, I guess. Whenever I get a new machine, I always set it to show me (...) (23 years ago, 24-Jun-01, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

(...) Andy, it sounds like you still have your Windoze Explorer set to hide extensions of certain file types (this is the default when Windoze installs). Make sure that dll is in the same directory where MLcad is located! Otherwice it will fail! Just in case start MLCad directly by clicking on it. I use this color number: 0x0000017F,it makes more of a chrome than silver when rendered, but it showes as silver in MLCad.Jay Cal used it first and I got it from one of his .dats that I requested from him. it was this car, You can see how the color (...) I have a couple of questions: 1.) What's the easiest way to put minifigs in your scene? Construction from scratch is a pain and I don't know how to modify the shorcuts in MLCad. 2.) Everytime I need to rotate a piece, it moves off the model. Then when I try to place it back where it belongs, it's off center (it's not completely on both of the studs).
