I'm not sure how to make a river (and I don't know where east is :),

If you could just make a recessed area (say 20 studs across) for the
dry riverbed, I can add the water.  Direction doesn't really matter, • since
I can just rotate the heightfield.

OK, I think I can do this using two heightfields, one for the river and
one for the hills.  I was thinking about making the river wind back and
forth gently.  Do you want some straight stretches for docks, etc?  How
deep does the river bed need to be?

(...) Just a few bricks deep. Gently winding river is great, with straight stretches for bridges, docks, etc. -John Van (25 years ago, 4-Sep-99, to lugnet.cad)
