I'm trying to accomplish two separate effects: #1) I'm trying to pose the arms of a mini-fig "DAT" file so that its arms are "straight out (forward)" instead of "hanging normally", such that a rod/antenna being held in either of its hands would be (...) (25 years ago, 14-Dec-99, to lugnet.cad)

I'm not a CAD modeller. Are these models rendered somewhere for the casual observer to see? A revised version of this post with links to a rendered image of each model would be most, *most* appreciated =) ... if that's not too much trouble. Or (...) Please reserve the lugnet.cad.dat.* groups for posts with .dat file content (see group charters). I know it's tempting to put a post about a model in a group that has ".model" in the name, or to put questions about parts in a group that has ".parts" (...) Ack! I guess I posted the "non-steps" version. So reverse what I said in my original post :) As for the scale, you're right. Say, has anyone considered LDraw DAT file certification for clones? (I don't mean clone brands of LEGO bricks, I mean clone software of LDraw/LEdit/etc.) Some random thoughts... ldraw.org could maintain the official definition of the LDraw DAT file (...) I don't have any photos right now to compare with, but isn't it a bit large to be minifig-scale? I have tried to put a minifig on the ground besides it, and the minifig looks rather small. After searching lugnet, I'm still not clear on the current state of Lego-style CAD software that runs on a Macintosh. Can someone tell me... Is there a Macintosh compatible program that does something like what LDraw does ? (I thin kI saw something (...) (25 years ago, 13-Dec-99, to lugnet.cad)

The situation: I've downloaded complete.exe and run it, saved the parts list from ldraw.org in C:\LDRAW\, and when I open up a LDRAW model in LDlite, none of the bricks have studs. i got this crazy yet good idea for a large train car. 2 34 stud chassis's. 2 wheel sets, with one custom made (engine look alike like in 4558) to put in middle. so it is like this __ a __ __ b __ 00\_____/ 0T0 \____/00 kind of like that, go from (...)
