I recently got an old version of lightwave (5.6) running. I used a ldraw to lightwave conversion utility and made this little test rendering. After seing the instructions I started to thinks if I could do or not I didn't want to try if I could so I couldn't make entire yoda specially in does colors so I made the head only in white, yes in white. Ah, simple answer: The last line of the 6558.dat file does not end in a carriage return. Simple add a return at the end of the file and it should display correctly. I'll log the bug. There's quite a few lines of the parser dedicated to handling this (...) (23 years ago, 10-Aug-01, to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.cad)

I don't know if anyone's ever thought of this, but it would be cool if you were able to import a terrain file into LDraw, in a way that LDraw could read it. This way, you could place your models on "real world terrain" without having to work in a (...) (23 years ago, 10-Aug-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)

(URL) image shows James Jessiman's car.dat file with every part marked as "selected" in GWCAD. The result is that the car resembles an auto magazine ad in which parts of the vehicle are displayed semi-translucent so callouts can be drawn to all the (...) (23 years ago, 10-Aug-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)
