It seems to me that making the AucZilla engine available to parts auctioneers

Particularly if you could come up with a way of alerting your mailing list
(which I acknowledge as private) members to the other auctions - or at least
gave those buyers the option of being alerted.

I've stated before that I would be willing to pay a percentage on the gross
totals of my sales/auctions to someone who can make it truly simple for me to
automate the process.  Just in what I've done year-to-date I'd estimate I
would have be willing to pay anywhere from $270 to $540 to automate the sales
I've done (and continue to do).

For example, I have ~8000 elements ready to auction once I get around to doing
it one way or the other.  If I could plug into your software and be a test
case, I'd do it in a second and would be willing to cut a substantial
percentage of the proceeds your way.  I'm sure there are many others.  Mike
Stanley has written that he'd be interested, but he has more requirements than
I do (e.g. piece counts from x of certain sets, etc.)

There was a time when I thought the only person who could come up with
something to meet most, if not all, of my auction/selling needs would be Todd
and LUGNET and I begged for the opportunity to sell my stuff through some sort
of LUGNET/AucZILLA interface.  I'd still be interested in the possibility, but
there are more opportunities for doing this sort of thing now ... and more
than one on the way.

(...) Yup. Sometimes there is a lot to be said for getting things exactly perfect by a horde of tiny changes and limited trials, but "better is the enemy of good enough" and even in the hobby game there is such a thing as first mover advantage.
