It's an or-best-offer sale.  On the internet, sure, there's little difference,
but it is a valid sale type.

Has anyone thought about my mind exercise of how an eBay auction is
sufficiently different from a sealed bid auction to justify being an auction
for Lugnet purposes where a sealed bid auction is a sale/trade?

Umm, because it's in no way a sealed bid auction?  EBay sends you updates
telling you when someone outbids you, shows you a history of bids, displays the
current high bid...

Sure, you can (as an eBay user) *use* it like a sealed-bid-auction by turning
off notifications, bidding only when there are 0 bids and putting in the max
you're willing to pay, and never checking the page, but to be reasonable, I
think few people do *all* of those things.
