Hi, After a sub-vi is created, there are two controls created namely begin and end. Would someone explain why they are backwards? That means, it creates an "end" control linked to the beginning of the sub-vi, while the "begin" at the end. Thank in (...) I understand how this works (using the chain to extend the third boom). What is now confusing me is how this would be used in a 4 section boom, or do the lego crane builders use a different approach to these booms? If so, could someone explain to me (...) Right, did not think of that. Leaving both P and S dirs does the trick. What I did now was a full new install of all parts, both official and unofficial in another directory than my official LDraw dir. I created a temporary directory for only the (...) Brilliant. Great original story and some very nice photography. Creates a great mood. Creepy space sci-fi like 2001. Very nice constructions. Your post made go and do some Indian railway research! Indian loco type nomenclature is a bit difficult to remember, its all WDM-1a's etc (note, I'm not sure if that one really exists!) Those engines were built by me. I have been building Lego Steam engines for about 13 years now. Most are 100% Lego parts, but a few like the small yellow one has clear oscillating cyliders that I machined out of acrylic(plexiglas). The red engine (...) My next question is about how the chain/string is setup. In JC's design, the string isn't set up like a loop. IMHO TLC is not producing longer cylinders becase when piston is sticked out it can become bent in two ways 1. as a rod 2. in the place where rod's connected to the piston (inside) it is a very big problem to make piston's rod stiff and seal it up (...) I got set 4483 (the AT-AT) for Christmas, and while it looks great (at least from below), it has zero play value, mostly because it falls apart when you touch it.
