From my use of LPUB, it seems when you have an MPD file that the program
splits it into its individual LDR files before it renders everything. If
you go into the directory where the mpd file is, you will probably find the
LDR files that LPUB extracted. Deleting them should cause you to be able to
render the instruction images.
