Jennifer Clark's Ideas page describes it very well:

If you look at the diagram and imagine the bottom left half of the red cable
flipped vertically, so it is attached at the top (where the other half is
attached) rather than the bottom, and that it's a chain, I think you have
something similar to what is depicted in the picture.

Sobasically whatyou're saying is that the third and only the third is operated by the chain (or the string in JC's idea)? Would that make the third section sturdy? Because from what I've seen it doesn't look sturdy at all. Thanks. (20 years ago, 16-Jan-05, to lugnet.technic)
