I think that the 'equality' comment was incorrect. Color is not what denotes equality. Having one 'color' would mean superiority of that color. equality means everything is equal DESPITE things such as race. To show real equality among LEGO models (...)   Review of 6709 Tribal Chief

We were at Santa's Village today, and I got this set because it was pre-'98, and it was the only LEGO SYSTEM set in the gift shop. It was $6.99 Canadian, which gives it an obvious con- this thing has the highest cost per piece of anything ever (...) (26 years ago, 6-Aug-00, to lugnet.reviews)

  Re: African American Minifigs

I think Lego is just trying to cut corners and save money. They are aimed at the younger audience, and all they do is get their parents to buy the latest hyped up theme. I think it would be a good idea though to have "Dark Skin Toned" minifigs, (...) (26 years ago, 6-Aug-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: sale @ etoys.com

(...) At least they don't jack up their prices above retail, or put non outlet stores in outlet malls, both KB tricks. The shipping isn't so bad if your order is bigger, mine was 300 and the shipping added 20. Not a great deal but not too bad. ++Lar (26 years ago, 6-Aug-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Arr, there she goes.

D'oh. Well, today was THE BIG DAY for my collection, which I duly trundled off to storage (wah!) here in New Jersey. I shan't see it for at least ten months, perhaps as much as two years! Aigh, this sucks. Anyways, _Gloire_ made it safely into (...) (26 years ago, 6-Aug-00, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: Technic Box #1

I think most of this process is faulted by two things: 1) A lot of people take way too long to turn the boxes (recieve and send to the next person) Most boxes have a current hop count of 5 to 10. This process has been going on for just over 1 (...) (26 years ago, 6-Aug-00, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)
