Re: New newsgroup lugnet.sports for Football/Soccer

(...) Even here (Aus) the official theme name is still Football although all the Aus. AFOLs here on Lugnet refer to the sets as "soccer" in normal conversation. Lego Australia calls it Football, and so does the annual catalog. Deidre drb@tasmail.com (26 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.sports)

This part looks good to me! Thanks for your work. Before you submit it, though, I'd like to ask you to reposition it so that it is centered in the origin. Compare it with the part 32017.DAT. Wow, I've never seen this part before. What set is it from? The 8448? Or the Dark Side Developer? Anyway, I agree with your choice of insertion point and orientation, since it is consistent with the other bent liftarms in LDraw. Fredrik (26 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Ben, You just described the UK 1966 Catalogue. AFAIK it was available free from toy shops from approx April 66, but was not included in any sets (except _maybe_ 050 and 060); hence it is one of the more difficult to find.
