Maybe you can try the laser pointer that Mike Burger (and several others?) did for the RCX. And use the light sensor to detect it? Sure, I know. But that is what I use now. What I would like is a tool that can directly export Illustrator format or postscript, for that matter, from LDraw in 3D!
