So Its not like the grand old displays, where you had to walk from one
display to the next through special light and sound effects? D'oh.

Emphatically not.  No multi room, multi themed affairs around here.  I
remember a near minifig scaled Sydney Opera House c/w Peter Allen singing 'I
still call Australia home'.  While I could do without the stunning rendition
of a tragically overplayed hit, I'd love to see new displays on that • magnitude.

Maybe this was to keep the punters moving.

One wonders quietly to oneself what has changed since the good ole days.
Maybe GB's has gotten serious about charging for display space, maybe LA got
stingy, maybe I grew up, I don't know.  Wait a minute, I think we can at least
rule out the 'I grew up' possibility, eh?

It's probably LA cutting costs. These sorts of displays probably take 2 droids
and a truck to transport and display. GB's would love hyped-up kids with
parents in tow trying to escape with their wallets intact, so it can't be
them.
Maybe in the future we will have a virtual display whipped up by the boffins.

The little pop up box worked fine for me. I think its good.
Thanks for your effort Richard.

Cool.  Anyone developed religious sensibilities about me posting some details
about them (as discussed on the day)?

Fine by me.

And anyone got scans of their fave minifig?  Or, easier perhaps for you, if
you want to tell me (exactly) who is your fave minifig, I can probably
organise something from my own collection.

Count me in as a skeleton.(I'm ringing Jenny Craig now...)
