Quick note about our first outing. The Arkansas River Valley Model Train Club held it's annual show and sale in Jacksonville this past weekend. We were one of four layouts showing. I have tried to make a toyish steam looking engine. The intent was to have it look like locomotive named "James" from the "Thomas the Tank Engine" stories. Just a follow up to the results of the Kids area at the recent NGLTC show. First of all it worked great, these kids were climbing over each other to play. Around where I live it is quite easy to find the Thomas trains or the Brio trains in the toy stores, while you have to go to special hobby shops for the sophisticated stuffs.
