I made a tour through the Lüneburg Heath (densely populated area in northern germany) on last friday. I visited at least 20 shops in mainly smaller villages and found some nice old sets there. Best finds have been two remote controlled 12V points (...) (24 years ago, 8-May-00, to lugnet.trains)

These look good. The non-alignment of the black stripes is a bit jarring though. I've been surprised at the value of the 6557 cab you've used, these must be one of the more expensive 9v train parts. Thanks for the pointer, that is a cool idea book. But I am left wondering, are those bridges really strong enough? Has anyone tried making isolating rails? By this I mean a purposely modified section of track with a cut in one or both rails (can be done with a modelling grinder etc.). All the postings I have read refer to using 1 stud gaps between the rail ends (...) (24 years ago, 5-May-00, to lugnet.trains)

Well the NGLTC will be doing it's first outside layout this month at the North Georgia Premium Outlet Mall, I'm a bit nervous about the weather since we won't have a tent. Oh, and here's something I DON'T quite agree with (...) A lead track often runs down parallel to the main. It is usually connected to the main by a crossover that faces the opposite way you'd expect and is at the opposite end you'd expect Something (...)
