Would people be interested in seeing a mocked-up (or scanned, if I can get my
hands on the resources) layout?

Yes please!.  Industries are always neat to see track plans for.  I know of
books written on industrial railways (INCO for one, a fairly hefty book, but
they had _a lot_ of track for quite a long time)

trucks I see coming and going.  I might be out to lunch.

If anything, probably more than 70%.  A truck can haul around 1/4 as much as a
railway car, are you saying you see as many trucks as you do railway cars
around and about?  Thats the good thing about rail...it works great for moving
huge quantities of material.  Poor for small quantities to multi locations,
great for large quantities to single destinations.  Only ship does it better,
and it's kind of hard to float one in AB and do anything useful with it :)
