  PF Speed controller test

Hi all, Had my camera back so figured I'd upload a video of the new PF controller controlling some old 9V stuff. It's hooked to an original PF battery box, don't have he new one and haven't tested the old 9V b-box. (URL) (16 years ago, 21-Apr-09, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.technic)

Hey Steve, a couple of thoughts... having made 100+ structures taken to nearly as many shows over the last 13 years, it's been tough to find a consistently well-working standard. Lots of conflicts with track clearances and plain ol' tablespace at (...) (16 years ago, 9-Apr-09, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.town)

Hi Ben, (...) How did you use the old 9V battery box together with the PF motor and IR receiver? Did you create a modified 9V->PF cable? I couldn't find a way to use the old battery boxes with PF using the normal 8886 PF Extension Cable. Regards, (...) (16 years ago, 5-Apr-09, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: PF train motor / train speed and pulling power / noise generation

  Re: PF train motor

(...) They made it 7.4V because all lithium polymer battery cells are 3.6 - 3.8V. Since this is a pack with 2 cells in series, you get 7.4V. A 3 cell pack is typically 11.2V.
