It looks like TLG have already chosen their direction on this - witness the
escalating number of Robot/Technic and Junior sets compared to the
trad 'building' sets.
From the AFOLs, at least, the profits that you shall garnish shall

Apart from nostalgic loyalty it is only the quality issue which prevents me
getting into MB or other clones. I cannot think of anything more likely to put
a child (or me!) off building than ill-fitting pieces. Seems to be a big
variance out there though.
I, too, look for the less Juniorised sets for my kids, regardless of the
stated age on the box but this is almost impossible looking at the 2000
Catalogue and indications are that it will get worse. Has anyone dreamt up a
ficticious LEGO catalogue for the year 2010? It might make for some amusing
(but foreboding) reading....
