(Hey - I changed the shop name, others should do the same... Dan might
consider eliminating that front-page shop listing as I referred to earlier)
((I'm considering changing the shop name frequently anyway... In a city • market,
shop names don't matter! Just seller reputation and product selection and
price))

I'm not so sure that shop names don't matter... a shop name is the first (and
often easiest) way to associate yourself with your customer.  It is often
through this shop name that the customer can recognize the seller and
associated level of service provided.

Indeed. How am I to know it's you I am dealing with if I don't recognise your
shop name. I have no intention of ever changing mine. I'm working hard
to "build up the brand" of Milton Train Works so I am not going to change my
shop name to "A Awesome Larry's Shop" in order to move up to the head of the
list (even if I *am* awesome...) because that kind of thing is cheesy and
reputable sellers are above such folderol. Anyone who jockeys for the first
position on an alpha list has a whiff of non reputability, in my "first
impression" book. (that's not to say that trying to get first position on a
list of lowest price per piece or highest feedback isn't a great thing to try
for, mind you... if that's the business model you're after)

I am sure Dan is mulling over the suggestions we've given about additional
ways to view shops and I suspect the best thing to do at this point is let
them percolate for a while. After all, he just added the little bricks for
feedback levels and the discussion forum. and stuff I no doubt missed. He
codes faster than just about anybody I know.

(...) I don't think there needs to be a change to the front page, it looks good now. Maybe a "Personalize my front page" section which could be set as default in which one could select to see either one of the following 3: * the number of parts/sets (...)
