(...) I had the same story, except that the teller knew to ring the second one through at 50%, without being prompted. (rang them through, looked at the till funny, canceled and rang them through again, entering the sale price) James (24 years ago, 21-Jan-01, to lugnet.loc.ca)

  Re: New sale @ Zellers

(...) I went to 2 Zellers this morning. I bought a few small sets. The first one I took a couple of LOM Mono Jets. Both rang up at 4.99. I had to tell the cashier to check the flyer. Same story at the second store. My point is check your total (...) (24 years ago, 21-Jan-01, to lugnet.loc.ca)

  Price Screw-up at Sears

Hi, I got a hot tip from one of my friends last night and I confirmed it this morning. The LOM 3-pack, normally 14.99, is marked at 9.99 at Sears. With the 20% off all Lego until the end of the month, it comes to 9.18$ with taxes!! Get to Sears now, (...) (24 years ago, 21-Jan-01, to lugnet.loc.ca)

  Re: Sale @ The Bay

Here in Niagara Falls, nothing came up at 50% off, unfortunetely. The manager apparently didn't know anything about sets being 50% off - he didn't even mention the sales the last few weeks. -- Eric DeGiuli (URL) (24 years ago, 21-Jan-01, to lugnet.loc.ca)

(...) I picked my wife up one of them at EATON's. for $14.99. She really enjoyed the two little sets. Dean -- Coin-Op's For Sale!: (URL) Lego Workshop: (URL) Lego Club: (URL) (24 years ago, 20-Jan-01, to lugnet.loc.ca)

  Re: Sale @ The Bay

At the monlug meeting last night Kevin Zwicker, who was the first to report the sale, was not sure when it was ending. The only set out of what you listed that may have been on sale was the Landspeeder (from ep 4) other than that those would have (...) (24 years ago, 20-Jan-01, to lugnet.loc.ca)

  Life On Mars 3-pack

I was in WalMart today, and saw the Life on Mars 3 pack, it has sets 7300 Double Hover, 7301 Rover and 7311 Red Planet Cruiser. It was $15 CAD. Actually, it seemed pretty boring, except maybe for the Double Hover, IMO. -Adam (24 years ago, 20-Jan-01, to lugnet.loc.ca)

  Re: Sale @ The Bay

Which exact specific sets were scanning at 50% off? Here are the one's I checked: Landspeeder Slave I Desert Skiff Technic motor pack None of these were 50% off. Just 20%. Also the early bird sale last weekend was only an additional 7% off, not 15% (...) (24 years ago, 20-Jan-01, to lugnet.loc.ca)

  New sale @ Zellers

I managed a quick glance at the latest Zellers flyer this evening. Buy 1 get 2nd for half price (sounds like the American Kmart sales). Flyer starts Sat, Jan 20th. Let's hope for some decent selection. Andrew Burt (24 years ago, 19-Jan-01, to lugnet.loc.ca)

  Re: Sale @ The Bay

I don't know. I didn't even know about the 50% off before. Was it older sets and the first line of Star Wars sets? I think someone mentioned that, but I'm not sure. The flyer doesn't say anything about that. Last sale I got a 6445 Emergency Evac for (...) (24 years ago, 19-Jan-01, to lugnet.loc.ca)
