Re: cost and availability of Lego. Our range is reasonably good -- most sets
come out here a few months after they appear in the US. The real limit is the
price. In general 2x US$MSRP = $AU RRP (so 7131 costs $US15 in America, or
about AU$30 in Australia). Some of the difference comes from having a weak
currency, but that doesn't really lessen the pain. On top of that, the best
sort of sale we can hope for here is 25% off (the recent 50% off SW at Target
was a major aberration as far as I could tell).

| (...) There was also the sale a couple of weeks ago where all Lego was 25% off, and SW, Ninja, Insectoids, Fright Nights were all 50% off. Maybe they saw the massive surge in spending because of the mistake and thought, "Let's try it again"? --daveL (25 years ago, 3-May-00, to lugnet.loc.au)
