And RTL is full of "Looking for Throwbot XXXXXXXXX" crap.

I think I've seen all of the TB sets on local store shelves in the last
few days.  If anyone is crazy enough to be 'collecting' these sets, I'm
willing to help out.  Just $10 +shipping per TB.

If Lego knows they can sell these sets easier than regular sets, I am afraid of
the direction Lego merchandising will take in the future. I know Town Jr. and
Space Jr. are bad, but my biggest fear it could get worse, incredibly worse.

I don't like what Throwbots represent, in terms of collectable lines of
action figures, but I'd rather kids were buying TBs than Town, Jr.  And
compared to non-LEGO solutions, at least TBs are high-quality crappy
toys.

Throwbot expansions, and larger Throwbot bases, and all at much higher prices.

"Throwbot bases"?  Hmm, interesting idea.

I
realize Lego is a privately owned company and expects a profit, but my fear is
the emphasis on the bottom line will reduce a great construction toy to a
glorified action figure line.

If LEGO wants to get part of the action-figure market, I've got no
argument with that.  TLG should be able to compete very well with
existing products, in terms of manufacturing quality and playability.

I just hate the fact that TLG feels the need to identify TBs as Technic.
Technic is supposed to be about building models (often large and
complex) which include more mechanical operation than regular System
products.  TBs has none of that.

Those frisbee discs are pretty cool, though.
