(...) IMO train track (you can ignore the cross track) and the current "retro" brick and plate packs, plus the 2x4 brick packs, would suffice. Those cover most of what folks tend to use in bulk. Thanks for the update Jake, wish it was better news. I have to say that I fall into the category of people that feel this change is in no way acceptable. Ok, all basic brick sizes are a must for old grey and brown. All basic plate sizes are a must for old grey and brown. I was in Billund last week and was privleged to be allowed into 'the vault' for research purposes. As previously mentioned elsewhere, this is a room filled with multiple copies of everything LEGO has ever produced [1], kept primarily for legal (...) (22 years ago, 3-May-04, to lugnet.general) !!

One thing I do is scan all my stickers at super high resolution (600dpi, TIFF). The hi-res file is saved to CD-ROM and the original stickers are tucked away in a "sticker section" in my storage system. Then I print the stickers out on clear, matte (...) I just wondering what I can do to preserve the orginal LEGO-stickers? I like to use them one time after I have built the main model in a orginal LEGO-set and take my own pictures of the model. I think one thing that may have had an impact on quality was the shift in the forumla of the ABS plastic that took place at some point. I've had a couple of problems. I had a misprinted piece and had a couple of black slopes that were warped pretty badly. I've had a part missing from a set once too. Customer service is very good about replacing parts. I also have run into several (...) (22 years ago, 23-Apr-04, to lugnet.general)

I was wondering if anyone has ever had any problems with items in Lego sets? The reason I ask is because I recently got 2 sets from clearance sales, and they both had oddities that I've never seen before. The first one was the Pepper mini-fig from (...)
