I'll second that. Although the number of sets I own ist statistically
irrelevant, I noticed a manyfold increase in quality issues up to the
point that I don't bother Lego customer service anymore when the
mismolded part ist just a "regular" brick. Nonetheless I had to complain
twice in the last month (A mismolded turban in an Adventurers set, and a
missing piece in the yellow pickup).
I never had quality issues with Lego when I was a child, but in the last
three to four years, there seems to be a constant rise. The most curious
problem was a missing green brick 8x8 in a small set - something that
can't be explained by a little counting error, and should easily be
detectable by the weight difference. And the brick was missing in every
box of that set I bought in this shop in that sale.

I was in the Cologne Brand Store with Jürgen when he stacked and bought
them, and can confirm that both stacks were firmly stacked. As someone
who sometimes builds larger structures from small plates, quality issues
of this kind strike me hard.

Well, yes, _should_, and I think most here will agree with that. But
wether _will_ or not is another question.

| I've had a couple of problems. I had a misprinted piece and had a couple of black slopes that were warped pretty badly. I've had a part missing from a set once too. Customer service is very good about replacing parts. I also have run into several (...) (21 years ago, 23-Apr-04, to lugnet.general)
