I haven't had any problems with individual piece quality, but I've seen lots of
comments like yours recently, and it's alarming.
While we're on the topic of quality control, there have also been a number of
packaging errors over the past few years. Just to name a few, the re-releases
of the 10000 Guarded Inn and 10001 Metroliner both had wrong parts included, and
the latest 4504 Millenium Falcon also has an incorrect torso. I heard 7046 Fire
Command Craft had the wrong polybag included. I'm sure there are many others
that I haven't mentioned here.
Even though customer service usually fixes these problems free of charge, it's a
definite hassle for the customers. And even though these issues may not have a
direct impact on LEGO sales, it ultimately costs the company money to correct
these problems!

| I was wondering if anyone has ever had any problems with items in Lego sets? The reason I ask is because I recently got 2 sets from clearance sales, and they both had oddities that I've never seen before. The first one was the Pepper mini-fig from (...) (20 years ago, 22-Apr-04, to lugnet.general)
