    BRICKFEST MOONBASE —Jon Palmer
   It's about time to start thinking about the Brickfest Moonbase. NWBCon had around 40 Modules for the first ever Fest Moonbase display....and I'm thinking Brickfest can *at least* match that. I don't want to talk about BricksWest...I think they had (...) (21 years ago, 23-Apr-03, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.space) !!

     I'll bring a regular-sized moonbase. I have no idea what kind of building/ theme it will be, but I'm sure I can build 1 moonbase by August.      Is it just me or is it not possible to register from the brickfest website. I am going to try and make arrangements to attend. That would be my first actual meeting of some fellow AFOLs.      I'll be toting along at least 2 modules. The Tycho Brahe Hotel and the Dark Side Nightclub will both be there. I have ideas for two more modules, but I don't know if I'll have the time to build them. So expect at least 2, but maybe as many as 4. I'm (...)      I should have at least 2 in tow, possibly 3. Also, t'would be cool for all module builders to have sig figs, aliens, monsters, bounty hunters, scum, villany and so forth.      Okay, this is looking very nice. We're early in the game and already have a very good showing. NWBCon had 40 when the fad was strong, so thats the number to beat.       (...) I think the NWBrickCON guys just had the monorail track set to a height of two of the large black pedestal pieces. Add a slope to get it down to one height and build the monorail at that level, i'd think. That seems to be good enough of a (...) At NW BrickCon we had monorail track at +0, +10, and +20 (and even a small amount at +30 I think). +20 was necessary to clear most modules since it turns out it's easiest to just run the track whereever.      CEO Aaron Sneary here. Secondary Systems reports that they will be presenting scale models of two Marsbase modules. These are fully compatible with moonbase modules, but are distinctly of the red planet: Marsbase One- the initial colony module built (...)      What would everyone think about making the Moonbase passageways 6 wide? I and other members of my LUG have found this size to be very usefull.
