(...) You can't do it with a quarter sphere (because one quarter shears the wrong way (but with an 8th sphere you can shear y and z for movements in x. X is your pole of rotation. Whilst there is probably a unique TLC number for decorated parts, the LDraw convention is to use a Pxx suffix to the part number, based on the ranges of Pxx numbers documented at (URL) In this case p01 is appropriate. Ha, my post certainly stirred up some folks out there! I just want to let you know that allthough I'm not a mac user I simply prefer Leocad above (for example) MLCad because I think it's simply more intuitive and works a lot faster. I know that (...) (...) No. It started out as a viewer, but I added an LEDIT compatible editor mode a long time ago. (...) You can do it that way by putting ldglite in polling mode. That said, it seems to have the advantage of actually working, so maybe Emacs + Ldglite would be a viable way to edit Ldraw files. Last time I tried Leocad it crashed after a (...) I have been making the custom length flex tubing (using 75.dat and 76.dat) for a while, I normally crate the length I want save it for future use as, for exampl 75_12.dat and import it into my model as a subpart to allow for use of the .mpd on other (...) As we get nearer to the election, I wanted to post my thoughts on what I think the steering committee should look like. We're electing the SC to lead the LDraw organization. (...) Ouch! That stings. While it may not be as pretty as LeoCAD (or well documented) ldglite does work on linux. Here's a snapshot of ldglite creating a hose on an old mandrake system. Sorry to steal Ben's thunder, I have just seen the instructions he has uploaded to Brickshelf ((URL) had downloaded his ldraw file for this and was working on putting it in a suitable order for instructions.
