The problem is in the dat file itself, due to another problem in MLCad it is reported as if it would not exist. The file 754.dat contains some illegal character-combinations in the lines 29 and 30. Got on update on this situation. Seems that L3PAO is not compatible with Windows 2000 in some way(maybe just on my machine? i dunno). Well thanks Mark. However, when I use it, it is only 4 studs tall and this ends up looking akward on big ships. I use dat2dxf.exe and then import it into 3Dmax. Beware, dxf files can be massive. I've converted my Kite ((URL) dxf and it's now a 35mb file. Last time I tried to import it was on a P3 666mhz machine and it took two hours just to get to 50%. If (...) (25 years ago, 15-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad)
