Here is the other part
If someone has a better idea for the name of the part...

As for name, the closest part we now have is:
634 Conveyor Belt part 4.

This part could be considered a conveyor belt, but it would probably be more
easily found in the Tyre category.  Maybe:
Tyre Caterpillar xW yL  (x and y being the width and length of the tread.)

And in lugnet.cad.dat.parts, Marc Klein wrote:

I have also changed the name to Technic Tread. I suggest to change
also the name of part 32007.dat to Technic Tread Hub.

I like Marc's idea better than putting the tread pieces in Tyre (and the hub
would then go Wheel, I guess).  Then again, I've never liked the way tyres are
in a separate parts-category from the hubs, so I'm biased.

Another spanner in the works: there are also the Arctic tread pieces.  These
logically belong with the parts Marc has done.  We could create a new Tread
category for all these pieces (which could also include the Technic Tread Link
piece, already ldrawn).  But it's likely that there will never be a large number
of Tread elements, so maybe a new, separate category isn't really justified.

The Arctic pieces do not seem to belong in Technic, so we can't put *all* the
tread pieces there.

Or we could use the Tyre/Wheel approach.

For now, I recommend the Marc's parts go into Technic Tread (using the 0
CATEGORY meta-statement), and we can revisit this when/if other tread elements
are modeled.
