For right now, it's sorting ASCIIbetically, which is bad, and messes up
Austria, for one.

I would *looove* to do that. But where, oh, where will I find a n^2 list of
country names in multiple languages? Maybe just starting with a few would
be OK, and default to natural forms if they're not defined?

Is Faroese spoken in Denmark or is it from another area?

I can read and write a little bit of German (had that in school) but for
writing French, I just used AltaVista's automatic language translator
utility. Its output was far from perfect, but seemed to be about 80%
accurate, which was better than nothing (I hope :).
