What you are talking about has previously been called 'LEGO Design Cliches' by Fred Martin. Fred has written a paper called The Art of LEGO Design which features some of these cliches and is well worth the read. You can find it linked in .pdf form (...) Take the bent beams and attach them to a motor. When the car is at the top, the motor turns the beams, and the beams push the car off the magnets. Here is an update: I added an external power supply for the servos. Same problem. Everything works fine if I hook up to the charger in ZAP mode. I remember the days gone by ('cause I still have all the boxes) when TLC packaged the larger sets in styrofoam-lined boxes with plasic insert trays. These were the good (...)
