Ah, one more thing that isn't mentioned too much. Most of the more interesting sensors on the RCX are powered (light, rotation). The Scout can't handle these. Consider a life restricted to touch sensing. Not unworkable, but the equation 3 = 2+1 (...) (25 years ago, 25-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Whatever you do, don't try to build this in the order of the pieces in the DAT file, that's just so you can see what it looks like :) I started with the inside of the pentagonal portion, trying to find the right size pieces to (...) (...) Sure. You'll proabably have to do some experimenting though... If you have a bunch of technic chain, you could try lifting the elevator using the chain, a motor with a gear hooked into the chain, and maybea counterweight. Try taking a look at (...) (25 years ago, 24-Nov-99, to lugnet.boats)
