you won't be able to easily) get distance measures with standard IR comms parts (such as the IS1u60). light travels too fast for the time delay betw xmit and rcv to tell you anything. as a proximity sensor, all you get is a yes/no reading. if you (...) Andrew - - Take a look at Dennis' IRPD ... it uses a 12C508, 2 IR LEDs and a Sharp detector ... works great with the HandyBoard and off loads much of the processing to the PIC. Interactive C can't handle 2D or 3D arrays.... instead another method needs to be used.. If your matrix was a 3X3 789 456 123 and rows went from bottom to top and columns from left to right then you'd have to come up with a formula using the row and (...)
